At Beloved Yoga Sanctuary, we embrace all traditions and paths of yoga and our classes are designed to give you a complete yoga experience. Our teachers come from different lineages offering you a well-balanced practice and exposure to this ancient practice and the philosophy of Yoga as codified by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. One intention that you will find in all our classes is the philosophy of vinyasa, integrating breath with movement infused with a clear intention (Bhavana).

PIES Fitness Yoga Studio
Marsha D. Banks-Harold, certified yoga therapist, works privately and in small groups with special needs children and adults living with physical, sensory, cognitive, intellectual or mental impairments including ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and down syndrome to name a few; and special populations including stroke survivors, Parkinson’s, insomnia, chronic pain, joint replacements and many more. In addition, Holistic Yoga Therapy includes lifestyle coaching to help smooth life’s various transitions, reduce stress, and find better work-life balance. Taking in two sons in addition to her two biological sons ten years ago and witnessing how yoga served her family through that dramatic change has inspired her to share the ancient practice and philosophies of yoga with everyone. Marsha is an Alexandria native, electrical engineer, and owns and operates PIES Fitness Yoga Studio with two locations on South Pickett Street between Duke & Van Dorn Streets. PIES offers more than 80 classes each week and specializes in meeting people where they are in a supportive, diverse, and inclusive environment. Her flagship class, My Body Don’t Bend That Way, is a favorite of beginning yogis.

Dina is a 200hr RYT based in Arlington, VA. Her desire to expand and explore her yoga practice was realized several years after first being introduced to yoga; practicing pre- and post-pregnancy, and then incorporating it into her fitness and running routines. After years of ‘on and off’ practice, but never fully appreciating all aspects and benefits of yoga – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – she started attending more classes. As she did, she felt her body awakening to asana, her mind becoming calmer, and her breath controlling what she was experiencing. That is when yoga became an integral part of her life and inspired her to learn more.
Dina currently teaches vinyasa, alignment-based style yoga to practitioners at a variety of locations including CrossFit Falls Church (VA), the US Department of Energy’s FOHO Fitness Center, and the Mind Your Body Oasis studio. She also offers private instruction.
Dina completed the mentorship program and taught community classes at Blue Nectar Yoga studio (Falls Church, VA).
